Membership

During this administration, growth of membership will be a high priority, as it is the Daughters themselves who achieve the goals of our organization. The ASDAR welcomes any woman who is interested in membership to contact either of our state membership co-chairman Glydie Nelson or Mary Jane Forsythe for information. Increasing membership in our chapters is the only way we can thrive, as we have done since our founding in 1890. The DAR welcomes women of all ages, races, and creeds.

Eligibility

An applicant for membership must be no less than 18 years of age and can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.

Chapters

There are 39 DAR chapters in the state of Arizona. Members are not required to live in the same city or state as a chapter. If you are interested in becoming a chapter member, becoming an associate member, or being a guest at any Arizona chapter, please locate the chapter closest to your area, click on the chapter name to see their web site, or send an e-mail to the chapter contact.

Click on the map below to open the interactive map that lists all of our chapters. The web page will open in a new window. You can zoom in for a closer view. Click on a pushpin to get more information on a particular chapter.
